Who we are

Excited about your home renovation? So are we!

We’re Ben and Joanna Wilkes, an architect and interior designer, husband and wife, parents of two small children, and strong believers in the transformative power of good design.

We love nothing more than helping people bring their visions for their dream homes to life.

Seamlessly blending architecture and interior design from the very start of the process, we help to take the jumble of ideas from your head and turn them into a living, breathing vision for your new-look home.

Incorporating both aspects from the outset means you can see exactly what your new spaces will look like – right down to the lighting and soft-furnishings – and not have to worry about how you’re going to fill them at the end.

You won’t find a house-style or faddy architectural trends here. We prefer to work collaboratively with our clients, listening to your wants and needs to create a home that works perfectly for you.

Timeless design and quality, natural materials that improve with age are our hallmarks, resulting in practical, joyful spaces that people love to spend time in.

If you’re interested in working with us head to the form on our Contact page. We ask for basic info like budget, timescales and details of your project so we can tell you whether we’d be a good fit.
Brief
02
We’ll work with you to create a detailed brief exploring exactly what the project involves, the problems you’re looking to solve and an overview of the solution.  We’ll then appoint surveyors and get the site laser-measured.
Design
03
The fun bit! Once we have accurate measurements we’ll start developing the look and feel of your project. We’ll present an initial design concept which we’ll discuss with you, incorporate your feedback, and then create your final design.
Legalities
04
The boring but essential stuff. We’ll liaise with the relevant authorities to ensure all the required building regulations are met and planning permissions in place before work starts.
Detailed design
05
We create a comprehensive package containing everything your builders and tradespeople need to know. From floor finishes to light fittings, no detail is left out. This will include 3D visuals of key spaces.
The build

We’ll project manage throughout, with regular visits to site and close contact with your chosen tradespeople. We support you throughout the process, helping to move work forward and overcome any obstacles that arise along the way.

It was really important to us to find a company that could provide architectural and interior design and do a great job of both. We loved Ben and Jo’s holistic approach and the fact they provided supervision and support throughout the construction phase. Finding someone we could trust and rely on was hugely important too as renovation can become quite an emotional and intimate process.

Communication is vital when embarking on a big project and Ben was absolutely brilliant.

He went above and beyond in contractor management and found solutions to any unexpected problems that arose – inevitable when renovating an old house. We had complete trust in him and loved his collaborative approach.
